Designed for students interested in Allied Health careers, this course is an introduction to medical terminology, including the techniques of medical word building using basic word elements. Topics include: major suffixes in the surgical, diagnostic, symptomatic groups and related suffixes; suffixes denoting adjective, noun, singular and plural forms of medical words; major prefixes denoting position, number and measurement, negation, direction and anatomical, physiological and pathological terms.
